Oktoberfest

The Oktoberfest grounds in Munich is filled with one beer hall after another. This picture was taken at 11:00 in the morning and the beer tent we went into was packed. People were all scrunched in together, whether they knew each other or not. Adults and children were dressed up in traditional costumes and the atmosphere was fun, yet controlled. Everyone seemed to be happy. The food? traditional German brats, schnitzel, and, of course, large mugs of beer.
